Large river rapids running strongly after winter rain. Recorded approximately fifty feet above water level. The river flows and turns through a narrow, high, partly exposed bedrock canyon which likely amplifies the sound of the rapids. The first nine seconds are unedited. The last two seconds have a fade out applied. In summer you can walk where the centre channel is in winter, so this is a lot of water moving swiftly down the cowichan river to the salish sea. This is a small river near where i live, when i recorded this i was under a noisy bridge so i decided to reduce the noise a little and i came up with a quiet gentle stream of water. Enjoy!.

Water flowing across the road at buttsbury wash in essex, uk. This was recorded on the morning of 19/01/2019. Recorded with sennheiser me66/k6 attached to a zoom h5. No editing, apart from the fades at the beginning and end, which were carried out with audacity.

I filtered the flowing of the river and made it sound like a distant rumble like the storm is coming.

Recorder placed right next to the fast flowing river. Distant main road traffic can easily be heard as can a few birds. Recorded on a zoom h5 using the internal capsules.

This recording is made not of the falls but of the water right before the falls, so you can hear the roar of the falls in the background, but the recording is dominated by the sound of the river approaching them. I made the recording on the brazilian side of the falls, if that makes any difference to you.
